The national weather service in honolulu has issued a high surf advisory...Which is in effect from 6 pm this evening to 6 am hst Tuesday. Surf will rise rapidly this evening. Surf along north and west facing shores of kauai and niihau...As well as along north facing shores of oahu and molokai May reach 18 to 22 feet by Monday morning. Surf along west facing shores of oahu and molokai will reach 12 to 15 feet by Monday morning. Surf along north facing shores of maui and windward big island will reach 12 to 15 feet through Monday morning. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A high surf advisory means that high surf will affect beaches in the advisory area...Producing rip currents and localized beach erosion. $$ powell
